오랜만에 영문 인터뷰를 당하여, 영작해 보느라고 지난번에 죽는 줄 알았습니다.-_- 근데 아래 인터뷰 중 제일 재미있는 부분이 "the infamous Dr. Spark"입니다.ㅋㅋㅋ 아주 "Dr. Spark, the infamous"라고 했으면 더더욱 강조가 되었을 텐데...ㅋㅋ

Questions and Answers
Your name is Dr. Spark, what exactly are you a doctor of?
Actually, my real name is Soon-Pack, Park. Spark is my nickname on the net. The degree I received is Doctor of Journalism. I graduated from Dept. of Mass Communication (Journalism) of Kyung Hee University in Seoul.
How did you get involved in the web site and specifically inline speed skating?
I selected inline speed skating as my own off-ski-season sport as a serious skier well known to Korean ski circle as a Rossignor ski demonstrator and the Korea-first ski columnist to various snow magazines.
When did you start the web site?
My website "Dr. Spark's Columns" was created by me on July 1, 1996. Thus, this year marks the 10th anniversary year of my home page.
What is the web sites focus?
Every field in inline skating and skiing. My site is the largest one in the two fields in Korea.
What is your fascination with new products?
New and future-oriented high technology adopted in the new products.
How many hits does your web site receive each day?
Nearly 700,000 to one million hits in a day. The record hits was 1.79 millions on Jan. 9, 2006
Why do you think your web site is so popular?
10-year-long history and the large knowledge-base in the above mentioned two fields.
Do you realize that your web site actually has forced manufacturers to improve their products so they receive a good review on your web site? How does that make you feel?
I feel very honored in that regard and it was what I wanted and expedted as well since I wrote some reviews on inline skate products in 1998.
For some time you had an English section of your web site, which has now closed, do you think you will re-open that page again?
Contrary to my expectation, the English section was not well received by the people. I thought that it was due to the absence of the person who is in charge of the section. If I find a proper person, I will reopen the section so that the section will take a role in promoting international understanding among skaters in the world.
What do you think about the Korean brands vs the International brands?
We are living in a global village and the era of globalism. I do not differentiate Korean brands from International brands. International brands include Korean's.
Why do you think inline skating is so popular in Korea?
Owing to really commendable internet infra structures. Korean Inline skating boom was created by a lot of inline skating clubs on the net.
Where do you see the sport of inline skating going in the future in Korea?
Korean inline skating boom peaked in the year 2003. Recently the boom was recuperating day by day. I believe that 2006 Anyang World Championship will spur the trend to its fullest extent.
Do you think it is possible that a Korean team can be a part of the WIC in the future?
Absolutely. In the not-too-distant future, I firmly believe that we can do.
What camera(s) do you use and why?
I use Canon EOS 1D Mark II as my main camera because of its stunning continuous shots function: 8.5 frames in a second continuously up to 40 frames.
What made you love photography so much?
As a journalism-majored, I studied two subjects on journalism photos in my college days and I have been taking photos since then.
Do you have any changes or updates or new features planned for the web site?
No drastic changes. I am planning to have some celebration activities for the 10th anniversary of my home page this July with a various events.
